Hard at work
A big thanks to everyone who helped today and who came by and supported us! We had a good turn out and a pretty awesome time..even got a little bit of a tan.
Two great things I must mention that happened today…
1.) God is so good! He used this opportunity for us to meet an incredible family. I was able to spend some time with them talking about their missions work and their soon to be journey overseas (pray for safety). They were a joy to meet and they blessed our day…I’m not sure they even know how much.. Thank you for taking the time to talk to us and bless our day with your prayer and support. I hope you read this and know you and your family brightened my day!
2.) Following up with that I guess I should mention that I AM FULLY SUPPORTED!!! I have little things here and there that need to be bought, but as far as the amount needed for me to go..God has provided! PRAISE THE LORD (yes, it needed to be said!). THANK YOU everyone for your love and support.
Resting easy tonight…Night
So awhile back I started this little project…I was in one of my crafty little moods and wanted to combine art with missions work. The ideas were endless! After much brainstorming I was given a great idea by a dear friend. Actually, she didn’t really give it to me as much as I borrowed the idea (with her permission) and switched it up a bit. So with that I started away on my art project.
Prep and work: First things first…I needed a globe. Not just any globe, but one with a sweet base and I found the perfect one at my local goodwill (fantastic little place). Next I needed paint, but not just any paint…chalkboard paint. Finally, I needed ribbon. My equator had a little malfunction and had to be replaced. I finally had all the fixins’ for my project so away I went. After much time spent painting, cutting, and ironing I finished it……So you’re wondering what exactly did I finish..I finished my prayer request board (well really a world..not board) 🙂
I wanted a reminder of what/who I need to pray for this summer. Let my prayers not just be about preparing me or calming my frantic heart, but about all those involved…everyone from the missionaries there, locals, pilots, drivers, loved ones back home, so on and so forth. This shall be my reminder..and with time this list will change and when it does so will the writing on the world.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7)
Where have the last 2 months gone?! Feels like only yesterday it was the end of March..wow. So I’m realizing I have not updated NEARLY as much as I would like to on here..and I’m making the conscious effort to change that tonight. Though this update may be brief..it is already after 10 and I still have readings tonight 🙂
So as some of you may already know life has been pretty hectic..I mean I enjoy being busy, but I can’t even remember the last time I was home before 6 and STAYED home. I’ve had little down time and realizing with the end of the school year and trying to figure out last minute things I need done for Africa time is only speeding up.
Speaking of Africa I have currently raised 83% of my needed support!! (YEAH!) God has blessed me with absolutely incredible friends and family!! Thank you EVERYONE who is supporting me…I am so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life. ↑ Thank you, Lord ↑
Also, as of last week Thursday I am clear to leave the country..being that I now have all my necessary shots done with.
As far as the rest of my life goes…it’s going!
God has been doing such amazing things. It’s incredible to see what happens you stop trying to limit a limitless God. I have gone so long trying to know each step or plan out each move..and I’m realizing I’m happiest when I don’t do that haha. I could go on…but for now I shall leave it at that 🙂
Though I will end with this…
I honestly can not express how thankful I am for my friends and family. I know for a fact I would not be where I am at today without them being there for me. Thank you Lord for placing people in my life that have encouraged/inspired me to become the woman I so desire and need to be.
